Obituary

William Garrett (Bill) Miller

February 4, 1955- October 10, 2022

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments,
but what is woven into the lives of others”

Bill was a shining light to all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his humanity, his keen sense of humor, his uplifting spirit and his ever present smile. Bill valued the simple things in life, a day at the river, sometimes fishing and sometimes catching. He loved watching Seminole sports with friends and family. It was often said that being around Bill made everyone happy, bringing a good laugh with a story or recalling a long forgotten experience. He was a true comedian.

He delighted in his daughters Lauren and Kate, who were his overriding source of love and joy. Bill held a special bond with his family and was a most dutiful son to his parents but also a valued friend.

Bill graduated from Robert F. Munroe Day School and The Florida State University where he was a loyal member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Lauren and Kate Miller, his mother and father, Jan and Bob Miller, his brother Andy Miller (and wife Cindy), his sister Susan Miller Jones (and husband Bobby), two loving aunts and a host of cousins , nieces and nephews.

May his memory bring a smile to the faces of those that loved him.

His family and close friends are planning a gathering in his memory in the near future.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Apalachicola Riverkeeper P.O Box 8 Apalachicola, Florida 32329 or to The FSU Foundation General Scholarship Fund 325 W. College Avenue Tallahassee, Florida
