Wallace Owen Nelson

Wallace Owen Nelson, 64, passed away on April 21, 2019 at T.M.H.The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Havana. Wallace was born on October 31, 1954 in Cairo, Georgia. The son of late Willard L. Nelson and Evelyn L. Chason. He graduated from Cairo High School. He was retired from Apalachee Center. Not only was Wallace a Jack of all trades he enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing guitar, taking trips, his chickens, dog Susie Q., spending time with his family and watching them succeed.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years Donna Barfield Nelson of Havana. Sons Scott Nelson (wife Kim) of Havana. Wade Nelson (wife Tabatha) of Havana. Carolena Nelson Henderson (husband Mark) of Havana. Courtney  Nelson Kinsey (husband Chris) of Crawfordville. Caitlin Nelson U.S. Air Force, undisclosed location. Grandchildren: Hunter Sumner (husband Chase), Dylan Shanks, John Henderson, Owen Henderson, Anna Henderson, Reis Nelson, Will Kinsey, Kyndal Kinsey. Great Grandchildren: Georgia Jowers and Grady Sumner. Sisters: Kathy Lee (husband Bobby), Diane Vinson (husband Douglas), Raymond Nelson (wife Peggy), Bruce Nelson (Betty), Tony Nelson (wife Vicky). Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Many more loving family members and friends also survive

He was preceded in death by his father Willard Nelson and brother Leroy Nelson. Memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Havana, P.O. Box 586 Havana, Fl. 32333
