David Ras “Ratty” Baker 90, of Havana, FL, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
The funeral service will be held on at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. before the service.
Pastor Dennis Young will be officiating the service. His grandson's will serve as pallbearers; Chris & Jeff Stephens, Zack Robbins, Daniel Baker, Colby Vaughan and Nolan Baker.
Mr. Baker was born September 20, 1930 in Omega, Georgia, He was the son of the late John Wesley Baker and Mamie Horton Baker. He was the founder of Leon Exterminators in 1988. He retired in 1995. He loved farming, and family gatherings. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He especially loved his dogs Bambi, Bunny, Tinker and Belle.
He is survived by his five sons Kenny Baker (Elsie) of Tallahassee; Mike Baker (Trish) of Tallahassee; Edmond Baker (Kathy) of Crawfordville; Tim Baker and Alex Baker both of Tallahassee. Five daughters Charlotte Stephens of Tallahassee; Michele Davis (Leland) of Havana; Barbara Vaughan (Broderick) of Tallahassee; Susan Connell of Havana; and Becky Stephens of Tallahassee. 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jackie Baker of 69 years. His favorite Uncle Fred Baker; his grandson Michael Lee Baker. Two brothers Roy Baker and John L. Baker. Two sisters Louise Martin and Vivian Spratt.
