Connie Louise Bowden, 79, of Havana, FL passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at
Westminster Oaks. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, Florida with Committal Service following at Woodland Cemetery in Havana.Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Faith Funeral Home is handling arrangements (850.539.4300 or faithfuneralhome.com).   Connie was born on August 28, 1942, to Alice and Billy Yawn. She was a homemaker who was an avid member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Tallahassee, FL as well as administered and
retired from the Gadsden County Emergency Food Program. She cherished her community and beyond,supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society.She, also, cherished God’s creations and beauty, such as animals, music, Christmas lights, fishing, camping, riding ATVs, dancing and laughing with loved ones, watching her granddaughter play volleyball, and a crisp, cold Coca-Cola.  Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a selfless, caring, strong woman, willing to give and support others as much as she could. Her love will be missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her three children, Kimberly and husband, Todd, Simpson of Monticello, Robert Blackman of Tallahassee, and Tracy and wife, Jill, Blackman of Havana; one grandchild, Amanda Simpson of Monticello, and niece, Sabrina Lynn Barrett of Tallahassee; great nieces Amber and Taylor Barrett, great nephew Colton Barrett, and a host of great-great nieces and nephews. Her family was her proudest possession, bragging to any who would listen.She loved her family wholeheartedly, spending time with them was the most important thing to her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Daniel Bowden in 2009, her parents, Billy and Alice Yawn, sister, Barbara Jean Barrett, and nephew William Michael Barrett.  She truly had a passion for life and others; let her remembrance be celebrated forever and always by living lives to the absolute fullest
