Clarence Robert "Bubba" Boynton, 85, passed peacefully Feb 11, 2021 in his home in Havana, FL surrounded by his wife and children.
Bubba graduated from Havana High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Florida State University.
As a young man, Bubba played for the Havana Wrappers fast pitch softball team.
He was an accomplished singer and had a wonderful sense of humor. His children remember growing up in a home filled with song and laughter.
Bubba wore many hats in his career. He was a teacher, a real Estate agent, an insurance agent, and worked for the State of Florida. After retiring, he delivered the Tallahassee Democrat to his Havana clients.
In later years, Bubba took great pride in his grandchildren and was in regular attendance at their baseball games.
Bubba is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genevieve, his sister, Denise Horne, his children, Bob (Yolanda) Boynton, Joe Boynton, Lynn (David) Jones, and Cindy (Tim) Mentry, 10 grandchildren; Wyatt and Trent Mentry, Kristina Barber, Gary, Rob, Tyler, Ethan, & Matthew Boynton, and Miller & Ellie Jones; 6 great grandchildren -Wade & Will Barber, Owen & Bowden Boynton, Ryver Mentry, and Christian Thompson. Visitation is 5 to 7pm Feb 15th at Faith Funeral Home in Havana, graveside service is 10am Feb 16th at Concord Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Concord Cemetery, P. O.
