Bonnie (Foreman) Dunson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at home on March 12, 2020 surrounded by her family. She suffered from Progessive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) but fought valiantly and endured gracefully. Bonnie was born on January 10, 1962 in Pensacola, FL and was a 1980 graduate of Walton Senior High School. She loved to spend time at the beach and enjoyed fishing, scalloping, and traveling with her family. She was a servant at heart and loved to help others in their time of need. She loved to shop with her sisters especially for Christmas, her favorite holiday. She always made sure everyone felt special. She enjoyed listening to music, especially George Jones and Jimmy Buffett, was an Auburn fan, and loved to watch Andy Griffith. She retired from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission where she was a devoted and beloved employee and friend. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church of Cairo, GA.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father and mother, William T. "Billy" Foreman and Mavis Foreman, by her brothers, Duane Foreman and William Foreman, Jr., and nephew John William Wass. She is survived by her husband, Keith Dunson, and daughter Amanda (Shawn) McCoy; mother and father in law, Linda & William Dunson; siblings, Tom Foreman of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Diane (Randy) Lingerfelt of Mossy Head, FL, Debbie Ward of Freeport, FL, Callie (Monk) Miller of Quincy, FL, Beth (Scott) Wass of Pensacola, FL, Tim (Tina) Dunson of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Reece, Tyler, Beckett, and Anola McCoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was provided care by many but a special thanks to April & Tyler Lee, Kelsi Delange, Callie Miller, Rhonda Davis, Cairo Physical Therapy, and Big Bend Hospice for helping maintain her quality of life.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Faith Funeral Home & Crematory in Havana, FL. from 4 until 6pm (Est). There will be a visitation Monday, March 16, 2020 Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in DeFuniak Springs, FL at 12 noon (CST) followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm (CST). Burial will follow at Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery in Defuniak Springs, FL.
