"Buddy" William Edward McQuaig

William “Buddy” Edward McQuaig, 70 of Havana, FL passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at his residence.

 

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Smyrna Cemetery in Gadsden County, 376 Hardaway Hwy., Chattahoochee, FL 32324. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Faith Funeral Home in Havana.

 

Buddy, was born on July 8, 1953 in Quincy, Florida. The son of the late Coy Ralph McQuaig, Sr. and the late Elva Marrlow McQuaig. He loved to fish, anywhere and anytime he was always ready. His fishing partner was his daughter Kristina. They could always come back with a good mess of fish, and a good story to tell. Buddy was a stand up kind of guy, he would help anyone. He was always willing to go beyond and above to help someone in need.

 

He is survived by his daughter Kristina Marie McQuaig (and fiancé Dorran Griffin); daughter Rosetta Strickland; and his brother Coy Ralph “Junior” McQuaig, and his sisters Mary Moore and Barbara Hartley; and his very precious granddaughter Kinzley Beck.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Wilma NeSmith and Lillian Cox.
