Weyman McClure Davis, 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014 with his wife, Judy and his children, Chris and Debbie, by his side. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 18, 1942 to Perley and Otera Davis, he was a brilliant student, graduating valedictorian of Russell High School in 1960. He attended Georgia Technological University thereafter graduating as an Electrical Engineer. He has worked for various firms throughout his career including BRP&H in Melbourne, FL, TLC and FSU in Tallahassee, FL. He enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes and caring for saltwater aquariums. Everyone enjoyed being around Weyman because of his jovial personality, witty sense of humor and caring spirit. His kind-heartedness made him truly a cut above.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Judy Davis; his children, Deborah (Doug) Baker, Monterey, TN, Christopher (Andrea) Davis, Winter Park, FL; step daughter, Kathy (Benjamin) Heironymous, six grandchildren, Dustin, Daniel and David Baker, Sydney and Emma Davis, Evelyn Morison.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Salem United Methodist Church in Havana, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308-5428.
Arrangements are by Faith Funeral Home, Havana, FL.
