Biography

Sarah Elizabeth Sandusky Williams, 93 of Havana, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at Harbor Chase Retirement Center in Tallahassee. Her Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Havana, with the burial at Woodland Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements. (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com )

Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 29, 1917 in Monticello, KY. the daughter of Cleo P. Sandusky and Mayme Coffey Sandusky. She later moved to Havana were married William (W L) Williams, Jr. She taught school in Havana for more than 32 years until her retirement. She was a long time active member of Havana First Baptist Church. She was also active in the Havana Garden Club, and a member of the Havana Bridge Club.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her two sons William (Bill) Williams, III of New York, NY. and Phillip A. Williams of Havana, FL. A sister Katheryn Sandusky Morris of Tampa, FL. and her brother Carl Sandusky (wife Kathy) of Jacksonville, FL. Her sister-in-law Frances Williams of Havana. Brother-in-law Dick ( wife Faye ) Williams of Havana, and her sister-in-law Rebecca Sandusky of Lakeland, FL. Many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband William (W L) Williams, Jr.
