Robert (Bobby) Marshall Hollingsworth

October 7, 1932 — September 7, 2016

Robert "Bobby" Marshall Hollingsworth 83, Havana, FL left us in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 7, 2016 after a brief illness caused by a complication of a blood disorder.
Bobby was born October 7, 1932 in Pinetta, FL to the late Bob and Cornelia Hollingsworth. He was a tiny baby, not expected to survive, but he managed to squeeze plenty of life, love and laughter into his 83 years.
After graduation from Madison (Florida) High School he moved to Quincy, FL and soon married the love of his life, Nell Wells of Madison. He served two years in the U.S. Army, mostly in Korea. He became employed as a bookkeeper in Quincy for many years.
In retirement he enjoyed golf, and FSU sports but mostly working on and driving antique cars, going to car shows with Nell and hanging out with his "Antique Automobile Club of America" friends. He could be found most Fridays at his fathers Gulf Oak Service Station in Quincy for hot dog lunches with his car buddies. Bobby and Nell were seen often in their classic cars in parades across the area.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 63 years Nell Hollingsworth. He is also survived a son Bob Hollingsworth (wife Susan) and two grandchildren, David and Aubrey of Gainesville, FL. His two daughters Debbie Ivie (husband Rusty) of Havana, and Lynn Hollingsworth of Havana. A sister Judy Barnett (husband Edger) of Havana, and a brother Mike Hollingsworth (wife Inez) of Thomasville, GA.
The family will receive friends on Thursday. September 8, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Faith Funeral Home in Havana. (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
