Biography
Platt Rogers Spencer, 80 of Havana, FL passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his residence.
A graveside memorial service at Concord Cemetery is being planned for a later date.
Mr. Spencer was born March 27, 1935 in Port Orange, FL, the son of Platt R. Spencer, Sr. and Marion Stover Spencer. He moved to Tallahassee to attend FSU in 1954 where he received a degree in Accounting. He worked as a CPA for Leon County Clerk of the Court for 40 years. He also served in the US Navy Reserves.
Mr. Spencer enjoyed carpentry, poker and fishing at their lake house on Lake Talquin. But most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Spencer of Havana; his daughter Sharon Moore of Havana; grandson Jeremy Moore of Tallahassee; and granddaughter Elizabeth Whigham of Tallahassee; and three nephews Randy, Jeff, and Mike Petty.
