Biography
Mrs. Mildred ("Mitt") Weeks 81, of Havana, FL, passed away February 20, 2011 at her home. Her funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 25, 2011 at Oak City Assembly of God in Tallahassee, FL, with Pastors Matt Creel officating the service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, FL. With her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Thomas Wilson, Allen Pullam, Jimmy White, Brian Pullam, Bruce Pullam and Sean Hicks The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00PM Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Faith Funeral Home (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com )
Mitt was born February 2, 1930 in Colquitt, GA to the late Hubert and Louise Ford Helms. She worked for 25 years in the meat market for IGA and had a child care service in her home for 15 years. Mrs Weeks was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Edgar Weeks and her grandson Jeff Godwin.
Survivors include five daughters and son-in-laws, Pat and Tommy Wilson of Tallahassee, FL, Linda and Jim White of Panama City, FL, Syble and Billy Pullam of Havana, FL, Joyce and Al Godwin of Attapulgus, GA, and Janice and Mike Perrine of Perry, FL. 13 grandchildren and 20 great grand children.
