Mary Love Rich

Mary Love Nunn Rich (94 years old) was born in Calhoun, Florida on March 24, 1930, to Robert R. Nunn and Edna Johnson Nunn. After several enjoyable years living with her granddaughter Jessica and her family, she passed at Pruitt Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Tallahassee, Florida in the care of Big Bend Hospice. The visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2PM followed by the funeral service at 3PM at Faith Funeral Home in Havana (6972 Florida/Georgia Highway Havana, Florida 32333, www.faithfuneralhome.com or 1.850.539.4300).

Mary Love is preceded in death by her father Robert R. Nunn and Edna Johnson Nunn of Concord, Florida, her sister Elsie Sue Holton of Cairo, Georgia, and her granddaughter Sherry Leigh Chason of Havana, Florida.

Mary Love is survived by three children, Mary Ann Smith (Michael), of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Carol Lee Chason, and John R. Rich of Concord, Florida. She has many grandchildren; Stacy Smith (Christy), of Port St. John, Florida, Travis Smith (Christie) of Orlando, Florida, Daniel Chason of Havana, Florida, Jessica Chason Stowell (Jeffrey) of Tallahassee, FL, John Scott Rich of Tallahassee, Florida, Laura Rich Temples (Alex) of Panama City, Florida, Megan Rich Pullon (Alton) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Zackery Rich, who serves in the United States Marine Corp. She also has four great grandchildren, Gavin Bush Stowell, Leighton Love Smith, Taylor Ann Smith, and Charles Walker Temple.

Mary Love was a jeweler at Stafford Jewelry for 17 years and was co-owner of Ed Love Jewelry where she retired. She came out of retirement and was employed by Scandia Designs as their credit manager for 13 years.

Mary Love was a member of the Open Book Bible Church in Tallahassee, until she moved back to her hometown and became a member of Concord Assembly of God Church. She always enjoyed going to church, studying her Bible, playing cards with family and friends, going on cruises, shopping and breakfast on Thursday morning with her friends and church family.

Mary Love Rich loved serving the Lord. She had a full life and enjoyed every day. Mary Love will always be remembered for making her famous chicken and rice, pickles, lace cornbread and pancakes. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Psalms 91: 1-16

¹ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

² I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
