Marjorie Gail Lolley, 69, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Bartow, Florida, on August 18, 1956, she was the daughter of Richard Thielen and Claudia Powell Tillett.
Gail grew up in Bartow and graduated from Santa Fe Catholic High School in 1974, where she was a member of the National Honor Society all four years, along with various other clubs and activities. She went on to attend Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, where she became a charter member of the Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She graduated in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. After college, Gail began her career as a pharmaceutical sales representative.
Later, following her true passion for horticulture, she owned and operated a wholesale flower nursery. With a gifted green thumb, she grew beautiful plants that supplied numerous premier garden centers. Her poinsettia arrangements were so exceptional that they were displayed at the Governor's House during the holiday season. Her career path eventually led her to the Florida Department of Agriculture, where she served as a financial analyst until her retirement.
Music was another of Gail's God-given talents. She loved to play the piano and played beautifully. She served as the church pianist for many years, joyfully using her gifts to worship and uplift others. On April 11, 1993, she married the love of her life, Ronald "Ron" Lolley. They shared 25 wonderful years together before his passing in 2018.
Gail was a devoted mother to her daughter, Jessica Drummer (Danny), of Bainbridge, GA, and a proud Mimi to her three grandsons - Isaac, Michael, and Daniel - who were an absolute joy in her life. Gail treasured every moment spent with her boys - fishing, making messes in the kitchen, riding ATVs, splashing at the beach, and teaching them about God's Word. Her faith guided her throughout her life. She read her Bible daily, was deeply involved in her church, and led a yearly Bible reading event at the Florida Capitol, ensuring God's Word was read aloud from beginning to end. She strived always to walk by faith and to show Christ's love to others. Her favorite place on earth was Little Gasparilla Island. If she had the opportunity, you could find her there - fishing for snook with Ron, and soaking in the salt air. She was an avid reader who would happily choose a good book over television, except when a good Hallmark movie was on. She loved having a girls' day out with her daughter - shopping, laughing, and escaping everyday worries together.
Gail was a loyal friend and fiercely dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Lolley; her parents, Richard Thielen and Claudia Tillett; her stepparents, Elaine Thielen and Roy Tillett; and her stepson, Cheyenne Lolley.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Drummer, and son-in-law, Danny Drummer, of Bainbridge, GA; and her beloved grandchildren, Isaac Drummer, Michael Sapp, and Daniel Drummer.
Gail will be remembered for her unwavering faith, loving heart, musical gifts, and the beautiful way she nurtured both people and plants. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply and the seeds of kindness she planted everywhere she went.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family.
