Biography

Lynnette Margaret Farrell, 85, of Havana, FL, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born on November 17, 1927 in Melbourne, Australia. In 1948, she met and married Captain William M. Farrell, US Merchant Marine. They relocated to Great Neck, New York. In 1964, they moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. When Captain Farrell retired in 1990, they built a home in Havana, FL to be closer to family.
She is survived by her son, William M. Farrell, Jr. (Ginger) of Havana, her daughter, Devon Farrell Masterson of Jupiter, Fl.; four grandchildren, Ashlee Farrell Searcy (Brian), Tripp Farrell, James Michael Farrell and Megan Masterson; two great grandchildren, Henry and Harrison Searcy.
Lynne had a love of reading, a joy of cooking, researching family genealogy, enjoying Wednesday night card games with neighborhood friends and social gatherings with the Waterin Hole Gang.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Captain William M. Farrell.
There will be a private family service on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. On December 28th, there will be a celebration of life "party" at her son's home.
In memory of Lynnette Farrell, donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. or to Friends of the Gadsden County Library
