Luther Thomas "Bubba" Fountain, Jr.
"Bubba" Fountain, 81 of Monticello, FL. passed away February 20, 2014 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, surrounded by his family.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Central Church of Christ with Rev. Wayne Bailey and Pastor Carl Desmartin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. The family will have a private burial at a later date. Mr. Fountain born on August 14, 1932 in Monticello, FL. He was the son of the late Luther T. Fountain, Sr. and the late Mamie Sue Shakleford Fountain. Bubba was employed as a lineman for the City of Tallahassee many years. He was a true outdoors man, he loved to fish and hunt, especially turkeys, deer, and hogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Margie Fountain, Step-sons Marty Toole and Ronnie Toole. Daughters Cynthia Spector; Mary Jo Duncan; Diane Key. Step-daughters Catherine Curry; Jeanie Henson; Betty Sue Toole; and Cynthia Oliver. Sisters Annie Sharron; Judy Miller; Yvonne Bailey and Claudia Bailey. 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mr. Fountain was preceded in death by his son Johnny Fountain.
