Linda Susan Shelfer 57 of Havana, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The graveside funeral service will be at 3:00pm Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Concord Cemetery in Havana. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements. (850 539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com )
Linda was born in Tallahassee August 17, 1950 to David Allen Maxwell and Bobbie L. Johnson. Linda was a long time employee of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was a loving caring person that enjoyed her family life.
She is survived by her husband Billy Shelfer of Havana, Her mother Bobbie L. Johnson of Havana; one son, James Forbes (and wife Carol) of Tallahassee; one daughter, Melissa Alday (and husband Isreal) of Ft. Hood, Texas; one brother, John Maxwell (and wife Diane) of Havana. Her sister Donna Hunter of Biloxi Miss.; A nephew Chris Maxwell and a great-nephew, Cadden Maxwell, both of Havana; and many aunts, uncle and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father David Allen Maxwell; her son, Robert Forbes; and her brother David Maxwell.
