Leslie Monroe Moore, 76 died Monday, July 18 in Tallahassee. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. (EDT) Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Havana,with Dr. Eric Erskins officating, the burial at Piedmont Cemetery in Calvary, GA. Mr. Moore had lived in Havana for 51 years. Born in Miller County, GA. he was a salesman and supervisor for Dixie Lily (Martha White) Foods for 32 year before retiring. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for more than 20 years. He taught Sunday School and was involved with the R.A.s for boys for many years. He also enjoyed coaching softball.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years; Paula Daniels Moore, a son; Lex Moore (and wife Joyce) of Calvary, GA. a daughter; Pam NeSmith of Havana, three brothers Wyatt Moore of Atlanta, GA. and James and Murry Moore both of Colquitt, GA. three grandchildren, Lesley NeSmith of Birmingham, AL. Medridith and Lea Moore both of Calvary.
