Leo Stephens Brown Quinsey 85 of Havana passed away peacefully Jan. 10, 2010 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Wednesday evening here at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 1:00p.m. Thursday at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana with burial to follow.
Mrs. Leo was born in Calvary, GA. on May 15, 1924. She was the eldest and only daughter of the late Taylor Ebenezer Stephens and Mettie Johnson Stephens. Her brothers were the late J.T. Stephens and Glenn Stephens. She was the wife of the late William Odis Brown and the late James Quinsey. She was a resident of Havana for over 50 years. She worked for most of her life as a waitress, working 35 years at the Spartan Restaurant in Tallahassee. She loved her job, and she made friends with many of her customers through the years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Havana. She had a sweet spirit. She will be missed by all of us that knew her and loved her.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Doris Roland Stephens of Havana, FL. One brother-in-law Herbert Brown of Sopchoppy, FL. Five nieces Glenda Stephens McDougald and Janet Stephens Cosby of Power Springs, GA. Jane Brown Hodge of Forrest MS. Sylvia Brown Nichols of Crawfordville, FL. Cindy Brown Green of Sopchoppy, FL. Two nephews, Terry Glenn Stephens of Conyers, GA and Terry Brown of Sopchoppy, FL; Stepdaughters, Laverne Barrett, Ann Joyner both of Havana. Nancy Elkins of Chattahoochee, FL. And Glenda Shepard of Calvary, GA. Several step-grandchildren, great nieces, nephews and cousins.
