Laura Gandon Rodriguez, 67 of Havana, FL. passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Gadsden County Capital Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel, internment will be at Woodland Cemetery in Havana.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15 2014 at Faith Funeral Home ( 850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Mrs Laura was born October 31, 1946 in Havana, Cuba, The daughter of Perfecto M. Jar and Justa Borrego Jar. She was an educator, She loved being a teacher and school principal. She earned two Master Degree in Education. Her and her husband retired her in Havana for a slower pace of life, after living in Miami most of her life. She loved to volunteer her time to children. She had been an active member of Havana Kiwanis Club for many years. and a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Quincy.
She is survived by her husband Aurelio Rodriguez of Havana, FL. and a sister Maria Antonia Gandon of Madrid, Spain.
