Biography
June P. Hanshaw 81 went to be with the Lord on Monday November 15, 2010, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. June was born on July 5, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Ira & Alberta Phillips. June worked many years for the telephone company in Huntington before taking a position as a traveling manager with Western Union. June later moved full-time to Tallahassee where she retired from Sprint Telephone in 1995.
June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandra & Bill Worling of Orlando Fl, a grandson Brian Kitts of Dayton Ohio, a granddaughter Amy Kitts of Tampa Fl, four great grand children Kiersten, Ben, Kaden and Jocelyn Kitts all of Dayton Ohio. June also left behind many wonderful friends including the James Williams family, to whom so much love and appreciation is owed.
June was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Frank Ray Pitman and Roy W Hanshaw.
June will remain forever in our hearts!
A brief grave-side burial/service will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, FL. on November 18, 2010, 2pm.
