John Douglas O'Neal, 81, of Havana, FL passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his home on Lake Tallavana.
The funeral service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Bess officiating, Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery with Military Honors. Faith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Mr. O'Neal was born October 5, 1933 in Brewton, AL to the late Horace O'Neal and the late Rebecca Whitehead O'Neal. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years of service.
Mr. O'Neal was a real people person, which led him into the automobile industry. He owned, operated and managed several dealerships. His sense of humar and charm will be missed in our community.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dona Sue O'Neal on September 14, 2014.
His survivors include his four daughters Rebecca Groves (Ward); Sherilyn Misco; Alisa Bolden (Kenny) all of Tacoma, WA; and Lori Irons (Lonnie) of Maricopa, AZ; His step-son Michael Murray (Stacy) of Atlanta, GA; his brother Nathan O'Neal (Vivian) of Baton Rouge, LA; and his sister Patti Stiles (Wayne) of Hot Springs, NC; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Office of Gift Records, Emory University, 1762 Clifton Rd. NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322
