Biography

Mrs JoAnne Terrell, born October 17, 1952, in Highland Park, Michigan, loved to travel and has departed November 15, 2013 on her finest trip of all, to be with the Lord

She graduated from Edwin Denby High School in Detroit, Michigan and attended Eastern Michigan University and was an enthusiastic fan and supporter of the University of Michigan, She loved to quilt and sew, read, garden and had passion for collecting numerous items especially Longaberger baskets. However, her greatest love was her family, friends and especially her eight grandchildren.

JoAnne worked in the advertising business in Detroit with Young and Rubicam as a Business Executive, and was transferred to Tampa, Florida in 1987 to open the Tampa Bay Field Office for the Lincoln-Mercury dealer association account. She met and married her devoted husband Charles Terrell in Tampa and in 1995 the family moved to Tallahassee, FL. Where she started her second career with the Florida Department of Corrections until she retired in 2011. She worked in various capacities with the Florida Department in the central office and finally in her last position as a Senior Health Administrator at Wakulla Correctional Institution.

She is survived by her husband Charles D. Terrell, son Eric Fisher, daughters Jennefer Fisher Thurber, and Allison Terrell Estes, and her eight grandchildren; Kelsey, Kyle, Zacharey and Isabella Fisher, Madeline and Maxwell Thurber, and Stephen and Hunter Estes

She is preceded in death by her mother Christine Marion Paye, and her father Robert Frank Paye, and her brother Robert Louis Paye.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Please consider, Memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society or Big Bend Hospice.
