Biography
Jimmy Wayne Horne 71, of Tallahassee, FL passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home in Tallahassee.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Salem United Methodist Church in Havana, with Reverend John Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at Shelfer Cemetery near Havana, with Military Honors.
Jimmy was born May 27, 1939 in Mitchell County, GA, the son of Willie W. Horne and Evelyn Hutto Horne. Jimmy was the owner of Custom Gutter Company in Tallahassee. He was an avid FSU football fan, He loved all children, raising many children as his own. Most of all he loved and adored his wife Denise.
He is survived by his wife Denise Boynton Horne of Tallahassee. His three daughters Beverly Horne Cowart (husband Randy) of Havana; Georgina Horne Drew of Asheville, NC and Edie Horne Davis (husband West) of Tallahassee. Two sons John Paul Horne and Tyler John Horne both of Tallahassee. His sisters Dorothy Horne Curles (husband Bo) and Sheryl Horne Phelps (husband Dave) brothers Irvin Horne (wife Ruby)and Michael Horne. 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
