Jimmie Lou (Maxwell) Cooper, 90, of Climax, GA. passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, FL, with Reverend Jim Weaver officiating. Private internment will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax, GA.

Mrs. Cooper was born November 3, 1931 in Grady County,  the daughter of Angus M. Maxwell and Nancy Mae (Stephens) Maxwell. She graduated from Cairo High School. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She retired from Shaw Industries in Bainbridge, GA.

She is survived by her daughters Dale Cooper Edwards ( Joe) of Fort Walton, FL; Patty Cooper Greene of Port Saint Lucie, FL; and her son W. M. “Bill” Cooper (Wade) of Climax, GA. Her brother W. H. Duck Maxwell of Calvary, GA. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband W. C. Cooper, Jr. Her parents Angus M. Maxwell and Nancy Mae (Stephens) Maxwell; Her sister Mildred Maxwell Collins Johnson and a brother Melvin Maxwell and a son-n-law Lloyd Greene.Faith Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com).
