Jesse Wilmer Davis, Jr. 83, of Havana, FL passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Concord Victory Assembly of God Church with Rev. Lannis Stephens officiating the service. Interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Eliam Cemetery Melrose, FL with Military Honors. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements. (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Mr. Davis was born August 9, 1932 in Linden, FL the son of the late Jesse W. Davis, Sr and the late Nora Taylor Davis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a Master Electrician. He served as a Deacon at Quincy First Assembly of God for many years, and later served as a deacon at Concord Victory Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Davis of Havana, FL, his three sons James W. Davis of Gainesville, FL; Donald E. Davis (wife Mechele) Camden, NC; and Glen W. Davis (wife Nita) of Sparr, FL; a daughter Sharlene M. Dean of Texas. Two sisters Helen M. Davis of Gainesville, FL and Shirley A. Duggan of Dade City, FL. Six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
