Jerry Perkins

William Jerry Perkins "Perk" 72, of Concord, FL. passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The Celebration of his Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Faith Funeral Home in Havana (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com) with Pastor Eric Erskine officiating.
Jerry was born June 8, 1942 in Bainbridge, GA. the son of the late Francis R. Perkins and the late Nell (Sims) Perkins. He graduated from Havana High School in 1960, he attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), later transferring and graduating from the University of Georgia in 1968 with a degree in Forestry. (He loved his GA Bulldogs) He loved to hunt and fish, He had a passion for training dogs, especially Retrievers. He was a founder of Tallahassee Hunting Retriever Club, Inc. He retired from Georgia Pacific.
His survivors include his wife of 53 years Beachy Perkins of Concord; His two sons John Bennitt (Ben) Perkins of Concord and Daniel (Brett) Perkins (and wife April) of Tallahassee. Eight grandchildren Hannah, Jack, Nick, Abigail, Madison, Randy (and wife Brittany), Matt and Heather. One great-grandson Declan.
