James "Jim" Rogers
James Robert Rogers 52, of Havana, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home.
His graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am (EDT) Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Chipola Cemetery in Altha, FL. His family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Faith Funeral Home in Havana (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Mr. Rogers was born April 7, 1958 in Quincy, FL. The son of Gamwell C. Rogers and Carrie Jane Ferrell Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a carpenter and farmer. He was an avid sportsman, who especially he loved to hunt and fish. He was a loving husband, father, brother and Pawpaw.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years Katherine" Kitty" Rogers of Havana, FL. His daughter Amber Rogers Mathews, and his son James R. Rogers II (and wife Edith) all of Havana, FL. His two brothers Monroe Rogers (and wife Tannye) of Havana, FL, and Clark Rogers (and wife Shelia) of Tallahassee; two sisters Rosemary Mears of Tallahassee, FL and Thresia Williams (and husband Robert) of Valdosta, GA. Two grandchildren Katherine Alana Rogers and James Gamwell Rogers. and several nieces and nephews.
