James Monroe Mayo 82, of Havana passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011 at his daughters home. His Graveside funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at White Pond Church Cemetery(Jackson County) Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com )
James was born on May 5, 1929 in Jackson County, Florida. The son of Mark Mayo and Beanie Swails Mayo. He was a retired commercial truck driver. He was a self educated and wise man. He was a member of Havana First Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by wife of 58 years Mrs. Sarah Frances Mayo. Survivors include; one daughter Deborah A Jett of Havana (and husband Bobby) Two grandchildren Blair Jett of Havana and Eric Durrance of Tallahassee (and wife Jennifer) and three great-grandchildren
