Biography

Herbert Dean McKenzie, 71, of Tallahassee passed away Saturday, June
29, 2013 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana.

The family will receive friends from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. on
Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Funeral Home. Faith Funeral Home is

A native of Sopchoppy, FL, Herbert had been a resident of Tallahassee
for over 50 years. He was employed by North Florida Gas for many years
and then started his own business, D&H Gas Masters. He enjoyed
fishing and horseback riding.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cathy McKenzie of Tallahassee;
three sons, Ricky McKenzie (Susan) of Havana, Mark McKenzie of
Tallahassee and Mitchell McKenzie of Virginia; one daughter, Kimberly
McKenzie (Glen) of Tallahassee; he was preceded in death by two
beloved sons, Todd McKenzie and Jason McKenzie. Additional survivors
include one brother, J.R. McKenzie (Karean)of Attapulgus, GA; two
sisters, Anne Culpepper of Tallahassee and Kathy Culpepper (Roger) of
Attapulgus; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Harmon
McKenzie and a brother, Danny McKenzie.
