Biography

Mrs. Hazel Thomas, 87, of Talllahassee, Fl., died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee. Her memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Riverside Baptist Church in Havana. Her family will receive friends after the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Baptist Church, 1810 FL/GA Hwy., Havana, Fl. 32333.
Mrs. Hazel was born in Mitchell County, Ga. on November 7, 1921. She lived in the Tallahassee area for more than 50 years. Mrs. Hazel loved to travel and enjoyed short or long trips. She just loved to be on the go. She loved all animals especially her cats and dogs. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Hazel is survived by her son Lamar Dennis (and wife Luzce) of Daytona, Fl.; three daughters: Dorothy Medley (and husband Ed) of Havana; Margaret Pickles (and husband Jack) of Tallahassee; and Brenda Parker (and husband George) of Tallahassee; one niece Earnestine Bates of Milton, Fl.; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Thomas
