Biography
Gregory R. Dawes, 47, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away suddenly on January 2, 2015. He was born on June 26, 1967 in St. Louis, MO and raised in Decatur, IL.
Before moving to Tallahassee to marry the love of his life, he spent 20 years as a long-haul trucker. He was a skilled woodworker who had a passion for deer hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Daniel Dawes, also of Tallahassee; 2 children, Gregory Dawes and Amber Dawes of Kennett, MO; his mother, Sara Green, sisters, Lori Riggen, Mary Elliott, and Susie Womble, all of Decatur, IL; brother, Andrew Green, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Meridian Road, Tallahassee, on Saturday, January 10th at 2PM. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
