Biography
George Jefferson Willard,65 died Sunday, January 3, 2010 in Tallahassee of heart failure. He was raised in Miami, the son of Ira F. "Dutch" Willard and Mary Willard. An outstanding and creative chef, he was the owner of the Pigeon House Patio restaurant in Key West and Caribbean Kitchen in Palm Beach. He was president of the Florida Restaurant Association and his recipes were published in Bon Appeit.
Survivors included his brother Ira F. "Chick" Willard (Betty) of Havana, FL. His sisters Elizabeth " Bib" Willis of Tallahassee and Frances Baker (Jim) of Aahlamd, KA and many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Pat Willard. Private family services are planned for a later date. Faith Funeral Home in Havana are in charge of arrangements.
