George Whitt Parker, Jr., 70, of Tallahassee passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda Parker of Tallahassee. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Riverside Baptist Church in Havana. A native of Henry County, AL, Mr. Parker had been a resident of Tallahassee for 41 years. He worked a short time as a meat cutter but most of his career was spent as an auto, paint and body specialist. He owned his own business, Parker's Collision Service. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church where he was a former deacon.Additional survivors include three sons, Michael Parker (Tammy) of Tallahassee, Ronald Parker (Lisa) of Crawfordville and Chris Parker of Tallahassee; one brother, Kenny Parker of Columbia, AL; six grandchildren, Amber, Sabrina, Michael Jr., Madison, Quentin, Charity and Ronald Jr. And five great-grandchildren, James, Ella, Gabriel, Will and Lakai.
