Gary T. Randall, 74 of Havana passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 12, 2025 at the Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee after an extended illness.
Gary was born on February 16, 1951 in Corning, NY to parents Lyman and Pauline (Townsend) Randall. Gary is the middle child of 5. He graduated from Corning East High School in 1969. Gary was quite an athlete, participating in several sports.
Gary moved to Florida in the early 1970's, originally settling in Panama City. Later he moved to Tallahassee and finally to Havana.
Gary was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and a huge NASCAR fan. He attended bike rallies in Daytona Beach and Panama City for many consecutive years. He enjoyed races of all kinds, from stock cars, to Indy cars, to motorcycle and motocross. If there was a race on TV, you can be sure he would be watching. He also attended several NASCAR race events over the years. He hunted and fished when younger and enjoyed nature. He liked watching and feeding the birds. Hummingbirds were his favorite. He looked forward to them returning every spring.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and grandmothers, Marion Freeman from Corning, NY and Dorothy Smith from Bradford, NY. Gary is survived by his wife, Theresa of Havana, son Mark and grandson Kensey of Lynn Haven, sisters Sandra Bradley of Owego, NY, Christine & Michael Sorge, of Corning, NY, Nancy & Alan Pierce of Hammondsport, NY, brother, Timothy Randall and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Faith Funeral Home, located at 6972 FL/GA Highway, Havana on Tuesday, June 17 at 11:00AM, followed by a reception on site for all guests. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Gary's home afterward to share in memories and fellowship. Gary's ashes will be scattered at St. George Island at a later date.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Big Bend Hospice and their outstanding staff. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations in Gary's memory be made to Big Bend Hospice.
