Florie (Vickers) Shores

Florie Vickers Shores, 90 of Havana, FL. passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, with Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.

Florie Vickers Shores was born April 15, 1927 in Grady County, GA. The daughter of the late Walter G. Vickers and the late Tip Barber Vickers. She was a life long resident of this area. She had retired from the Florida Dept. of Revenue, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Havana.

She is survived by her daughters Connie Barrett; Kay Ware (husband Alan); and Vickie Laing (husband David). Her grandchildren Shawn Barrett (wife Jennifer); Chad Barrett; Dewayne Elkins; Pamela Singletary (husband Troy); Stacey Burch (husband Brian) and Courtney White (husband Case). Her great-grandchildren Riley Barrett; Finley Barrett; Candace Rowan (husband Daniel); Garrett Harrell (wife Elizabeth); Sam Singletary; Tristin Singletary; Drew Burch; Hollis Burch; and Cade White. Her great-great-grandchildren Cayson Turnage and Layton Rowan;

She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Monroe Shores, a sister Freida Cannon,

her brothers Hugh Vickers; Pierce Vickers; Gordon Vickers; Harry Vickers; Dennis Vickers. Her son-in-law Robert Lee Barrett. and her great grandson Caul White.
