Biography
Ellen Creamer Poppell, 74, of Concord passed away Monday, August 26, 2013, in Tallahassee.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Faith Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Concord Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Faith Funeral Home is handling arrangements (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com).
A native of Tallahassee, she had lived in Concord for 45 years. She retired from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection after 36 years of employment. She was a member of Concordia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ernest Poppell of Concord; three daughters, Phyllis Hartsfield (Randy) of Concord, Sheryl Boutin (Marcel) of Crawfordville and Jill Meadows (Russell) of Concord; three brothers, Billy Creamer (Celia) of Tallahassee, George Creamer (Carolyn) of Tallahassee and Lamar Creamer (Martha) of Ormond Beach; five grandchildren, Ashley Clark (David) of Ft. Bragg, NC, Lindsey Hartsfield of Tallahassee, Katie Jones of Crawfordville, Garrett Earnest of Concord and Jacob Raker of Concord and one great-grandson, Colten Clark or Ft. Bragg, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.M. Creamer and Katie Yates Creamer.
