Ella Carolyn Connell, 66 of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Capital Regional Medical Center.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Broomsage Cemetery in Wacissa, FL. with Ian McDonald officiating the service. Faith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com.)

Mrs Connell was born December 12, 1944 in Wewahitchka, FL. the daughter of Fritz Nathey and Clairice Ford Hancock Nathey. She was in restaurant Management for many years; However, what she enjoyed the most was taking care of her children, and grandchildren. Her family, and her faith in GOD was what she was most passionate about.

She is survived by her husband Clyde W. Connell of Tallahassee, a son John Pternitis (wife Penny) of Guntersville, AL. Two daughters Missy (Dawn) Crowe of Pooler, GA and Amanda Clark (husband Matthews) of Tallahassee. Three brothers Tom Nathey of Live Oak, FL. Johnny Nathey of Quincy, FL. and Jimmy Nathey of Carey, NC three sisters Lanelle McDonald of Orange Park, FL Edith Dalton of Havana and Elisa Mitchiner of Greenville, NC. Four grandchildren Anna and Johnathan Pternitis and Jacob and Lydia Clark. Two step daughters Doris Connell Evans and Sharon Connell Worgan. And many nieces and nephews.
