Edward H. "Eddie" Standley of Havana, FL. lost his battle with cancer on Monday Feb. 25, 2013 at Riverchase in Quincy, FL.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel. His family will recieve friends after the service. Faith Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com )
Eddie was born on November 16, 1939, In Jamieson (Gadsden County). He was the son of Glen and Mary Standley. He was a Lieutenant with Seminole County Sheriff's Office for 22 years. He then found a career as a "Line Man Foreman". His true love was the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, grilling, etc. He could cook anything. He had a built in fish finder and was quoted saying "he would rather shot one turkey than all the deer in the world"
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Cook Standley of Havana, a sister Doris Odom of White Springs; Daughters; Kathy Brown, Ann Alday both of Orlando, Sissy Beach (Lester) of Havana and Misty Brown of Tallahassee. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and.nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William (Bill) and Robert (Bob) Standley; sisters Betty Godwin and Mary Ellen Standley.
