Eddie R. Blackburn, 82, of Havana, FL passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at her home.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7 PM. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Salem Cemetery with Ginger Owens officiating the service, honorary Pall-Bearers include her grandsons, John Luke Robertson, Garren Robertson, Heath Whiddon, Cannon Allen, Cruz Crosby, Whiddon Macon and Cash Crosby.

Mrs. Eddie was born August 13, 1941 in Thomasville, GA the daughter of the late Willie Leroy Rearden and the late Jennie Belle Garren. Mrs. Eddie was “a true southern lady.” She loved life to the fullest! She was a longtime office manager for Doctors Ness & Kelch Family Medicine in Tallahassee. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed her Thursday evening club (Merry Widows) for many years. She was a talented gardener. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her son Charles Powell (and wife Lina) of Sevierville, TN; daughters Nancy P. Whiddon (husband Pat) of Perry, GA and Jenny Blackburn Robertson (husband Lance Willis) of Havana, FL, and her sister Mary Whiddon of Havana, FL.

Her grandchildren include Kyle Powell (wife Courtney), John Luke Robertson, Garren Robertson, Anniston Willis, Heather Allen (Justin Dixon), Ashley Crosby (Clay), Heath Whiddon (Kaki), Bailey Macon (Whiddon), and Connor Willis. Great-grandchildren include Cannon Allen, Cruz Crosby, Cash Crosby, Ramsey Allen, Charlie Macon, Luke Whiddon, Ella Allen Whiddon, Caleb Macon, Camden Macon, and Bo Whiddon. She is also survived by her friend and caregiver Linda Clemons.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Luke Blackburn and husband Ray Powell, and her brother Pete Rearden and sister Nancy Peavy.
