Doris Evelyn Edge, 88, of Havana, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Riverview, Florida, under the compassionate care of Affinity Hospice of Florida.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Quincy. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Howard Adams officiating. Interment will take place immediately afterward at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Born on July 6, 1938, in Marianna, Florida, Doris was the daughter of the late Sydney Folsom and the late Sarah Agnes Folsom. A dedicated and hardworking florist, she was the proud owner of Singletary’s Florist in Marianna for more than 30 years, a fitting vocation for someone who truly loved beautiful flowers.

Doris was a devoted, Godly woman who faithfully served the Lord and was a long-time member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Known for her legendary warmth, kindness, and radiant smile, she lived a life defined by deep compassion and an unwavering love for her faith, family and friends.

She is lovingly remembered and survived by her brother, Richard Folsom (wife Jane); her son, Emory R. Singletary III (wife Beth); and her daughter, Donna Piermatteo (husband Michael). Her step-son, Doug Edge (wife Amanda), and step-daughter Annette Turner (husband Jerry). She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ryan Singletary, Kelli Stewart (husband Allen), Sarah Hewitt (husband Matt), and Amanda Burkett (husband Travis); her step-grandchildren: Royce Turner (wife Makayla), Peyton Turner (wife Stepfanie), Tori Lamb (husband Matt), Micah Carrtacee, and Lea Edge. as well as her great-grandchildren: Sayler Singletary, Levi Singletary, Noah Stewart, Conner Stewart, Riverlynn Burkett, and Lennox Burkett. Her step great-grandchildren: Ayden Lamb, J.T. Lamb, Walker Lamb, Willow Lamb, Gracie Turner, Peyton Turner Jr., and Adena Turner.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronnie Folsom and her husband Ron Edge.

Memorial donations may be made in Doris’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Affinity Hospice Care of Hillsborough County.
