Donald Earl Thompson70, of Tallahassee, FL passed Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Big Bend Hospice House.

The memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com. ) The Masonic Funeral Rites will be at 3:00 pm. Memorial donations maybe made to Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd, Tallahassee, FL. 32308

Mr. Thompson was born in October 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA. The son of the late Chester Ollie Thompson and the late Margaret McCutcheon Thompson. He was a US Air Force Vietnam veteran serving from 1965 to 1969. He was a member of the Masonic Temple. He was a 1978 graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor in Criminology. Don and his wife were avid FSU football fans, they were Seminole Boosters for over 40 years. He was a 25 year members of Cairo Country Club in Cairo, GA.

He is survived by his wife Carol Clinton Thompson of Tallahassee, FL; sister Joan Recker of Pittsburgh, PA; brother Richard Thompson (Susan) of Alexandria, VA; sister-in-law Carol Thompson of Valencia, PA; brother-in-law Robert Clinton (Karen) of Pittsburgh, PA; nieces and nephews Raeanne Auber and Aaron Auber of Pittsburgh, PA; Kristin Thompson Myrtle Beach, SC; Nicole Clinton Woolslare (Jason)of Pittsburgh, PA; and great nieces Isabel and Scarlett Woolslare.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother (Bill) William G. Thompson in 2005.
