Mrs. Tidwell was born on August 21, 1935 in Marine, WV. The daughter of the late Henry Collins and the late Nannie Lee Gillespie. Being raised in West Virginia, she was a very strong independent woman with a fun loving attitude about life.

She owned and operated a 7-Eleven convenience store for many years. She married James Tidwell in 1979. After living in Michigan and Tennessee, she and her husband settled in Havana, Florida on beautiful Lake Tallavana. They both enjoyed living in Havana, having family, and friends close by.

She also was an avid Florida State University Football fan. She especially enjoyed tailgating at FSU with her family and friends. There was one thing about her that everyone knew, she loved her sweets, almost anything sweet she thoroughly enjoyed.
