Danny Eugene Heaberlin, 65, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Big Bend Hospice House.
The military graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Tallahassee National Cemetery 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32311 with Pastor Dennis Young officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Faith Funeral Home. (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com)
Mr. Heaberlin was born May 27, 1950 in Ashland, KY, the son of the late Ben C. Heaberlin and the late Sara Louise Frizzell Heaberlin. Danny Heaberlin dedicated his life helping the lost find salvation through Christ Jesus. He founded and directed the Heaven of Rest Rescue Mission for 18 yrs. and the Hope House Mission for 15 yrs. Where they helped feed, clothed and gave the message of salvation to over 300,000 homeless men, women & children. Danny changed the lives of thousands by helping them return to a productive role in society and many who have gone on and started there own ministries spreading the word of God and salvation.
Mr. Heaberlin was a loving father and husband, who gave his all to his children and wife. He enjoyed spending his free time taking his family fishing and loved taking the time to teach the grandkids how to fish for the first time. He always took the opportunity to teach valuable life lessons any chance he had, always quoting bible verses and lessons he learned through trial and error. There wasn't a limit to the love he had for his family. His family was everything, and he was everything to his family, we will miss you dad.
His survivors include his wife of 43 years Myong Cha Heaberlin of Tallahassee; a son John Henry Heaberlin (wife Shauna); two daughters Danyell L. Robison and Michelle M. Heaberlin all of Tallahassee. five grandchildren: Coby, Jade, Tristyn, Danny and Hazel; one great-grandchild Esmae.
