Daniel Joseph O'Connell, Jr.

Daniel Joseph O'Connell Jr., beloved husband, devoted father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on November 6, 2025. A faithful follower of Christ, looking heavenward to everlasting glory, now rests in peace. Dan Jr. was born to Daniel Sr. and Mary O'Connell on October 4, 1950, in West Palm Beach, FL, and was later baptized at Sacred Heart in Lake Worth, FL.

Dan graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, FL, in 1969. On August 18, 1979, Dan married the love of his life, Cindy Thompson.Dan's creativity and entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Patio Products Inc. With Cindy by his side, they owned and operated the business for forty-plus years. He was passionate about outdoor furniture, parts, fabric, vinyl, and especially loved his employees. 

Dan is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Cindy; his beloved daughter, Christy (Philip Hahm); his son, Daniel J. III, whom he was so proud of; and his treasured granddaughter, Hannah Hahm, his sunshine, who brought him endless joy. He was selfless, kind, always thinking about others above himself, and cherished special moments with family. Dan is also survived by his sisters, Margaret (late Arthur Tuma), Maureen (Donny Walker), Eileen (Tony Unitas), Cathy (Paul Duke), and his brother, Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Sr. and Mary O'Connell, and brother John O'Connell.Dan was an avid gardener and loved being out in the yard tending to his lawn, plants, and flowers. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Victory Service to celebrate Dan's life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, at Divine Savior Church in Delray Beach, FL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
