If you ever had the privilege of being welcomed into Cynthia “Lollie” Waldron’s home, you already know that she showed love through food, love and laughter. Anything she cooked always felt comforting and was amazing, anything she said was always genuinely from her heart, and she was always quick to tell a joke to make anyone laugh. Her smile alone was beyond contagious.

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Cynthia “Lollie” Waldron, 68, of Tallahassee, Florida. Who went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2026, after enduring a long-time illness and staying strong for so long. The world is a much quieter, less flavorful place without her. She was a gentle, steady presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Cindy was born on July 29, 1957, in Marianna, Florida at Jackson Hospital, the youngest of six children born to the late Sam Junior Lollie and Alice “Langley” Lollie. She married the late Robert Waldron in 1980, and together they had two children. She was a phenomenal mother, a fierce protector of her family, and a constant source of unconditional love. It always seemed she would have room for one more plate at the table for all of her “adopted” kids we brought home too.

She graduated from Rickards High School, then later attended Hillsborough College in Tampa for diesel mechanics. She worked for over 15 years as a Domestic Violence Advocate, where she was loved by the families, she helped and respected by all for her calm, compassionate care. She spent her life making everyone around her feel safe and valued. As a mother, Cindy led by example. She taught her children that curiosity was a form of kindness, that hard work was its own reward, and that the most important thing you could do for another person was to truly listen. Her children, now adults, say she was the first person they called with good news and the first person they called when things fell apart. After moving back to Tallahassee from the Tampa Bay area, she devoted herself fully to what she called her "real job": being a grandma to her grandson Taylor.

Cynthia is survived by her children, her son Joshua Waldron and daughter Amy “Waldron” Lowe (Isaac), her grandson Taylor Waldron; her brother, Sammy J Lollie (Marion), her sister; Carol “Lollie” Bush (David); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, with more extended family and friends than could fit in any church. She was preceded in death by, her parent’s, her sister Jeannette Joiner, her brothers, Richard Lollie and Roy Lollie.

A celebration of life will be announced in due time. All will be welcomed.
