Clarence Farris

Clarence Theodore Farris, 79, of Havana passed away Saturday, June 8,
2013 in Havana. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday,
June 13, 2013 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana with Pastor Roger
Brinkley officiating. The interment will follow at the VFW Cemetery
in Tallahassee. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 12,
2013 from 6:00p.m. -9:00p.m. at the funeral home. Faith Funeral Home

He was the son of Clarence and Evelyn Grace Riley and was born on June
20, 1933, in Russellville, Illinois. He was an Air Force Explosive
Ordinance Disposal Technician and retired after 20 years of service.
During his time in the military, he served in Korea and Vietnam and
among his 23 decorations were two bronze stars, one with a V for
Valor, three purple hearts and two commendation medals. He originally
belonged to VFW 3308, DAV chapter 5. Purple Heart chapter 758 American
Legion Post 15 and Master Blasters and Military Order of the Cootie.
He also was a TPD Reserve Officer, Deputized with LCSO and worked for
Capital Security. He was a member of Reno Baptist Church and an avid
fisher and hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Farris of Havana; two
sons, Joey Farris (Becky Dawkins) and Steve Ray Farris (Jean Rutland)
all of Havana ; one daughter, Liz Farris of Pelham, GA; one sister,
Charlotte June Sheraden of Fairfield, IL and several nieces and nephews.
