Biography
Charles Eugene Gaskins 69 of Havana passed away Tuesday, Feb 2, 2010 at his home. His viewing / memorial service will be Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 from 6 to 8:00pm at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana. (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com ) Memorial Contribution may be made to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee.
Mr. Gaskins was a U S Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and Germany for six years. He was a heavy equipment mechanic with Ring Power in Tallahassee until his retirement.
He is survived by his long time companion Mary Ann Johnson of Havana; Two sisters Uvonne Pumphrey of Tallahassee, and Faye Homyk of Thomasville, GA. Two step sons Ben Pope Jr. and Tom Pope; and a step daughter Julie Pope Browning all of Havana and 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
