Havana

Billy Roger Ward, Jr. (Buster), 67, of Havana, FL., completed his life journey and peacefully ascended from this earth to join our Heavenly Father, while surrounded by loved ones and friends on May 23, 2025; at his home.

Billy was born on December 18, 1957, at Glynn-Brunswick Memorial Hospital to

Billy Ward, Sr. and Virginia Ward in Brunswick, GA.

During high school, Billy landed his first job in food retail, which kickstarted, not only a 52-year career in food retail management, but also a deep passion to unite and help families and communities through hosting and sharing in regular social gatherings and cook-outs.

Billy was a devoted individual who dedicated his life to providing love, guidance and support to his children, family and friends. Billy was also a passionate gardener, fisherman and hunter, who loved and adored the outdoors and nature. He absolutely cherished football, especially his Florida State Seminoles and his Classic Rock-and-Roll music. Billy thoroughly enjoyed astronomy, was intrigued with the unknown, and was an avid self-taught Horticulturist.

Billy was predeceased by his parents, Billy Ward, Sr., Virginia Ward and by his brothers, Richard Ward, Timothy Ward. He is survived by his partner, Donna Butler of Havana, FL., three children, Kristi (Lance Pittenger) Mader of Fort Wayne, IN., Billy Ward, III of Havana, FL., David Ward of Colonial Heights, VA.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Tammy (William) Fletcher of Columbus, GA. and Vicky (John) McClung of Leesburg, GA. and step-mother, Patsy Ward of Albany, GA.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled and held at a later date, to honor the memory of Billy.

May Billy Roger Ward, Jr. rest in peace, and may his family and friends find strength and solace in the memories of the love they shared. His legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of all family and friends.
