Barbara Diane Collins

Barbara Diane Collins , 54, known as “Madre” by her kids, “Di-Di” by her granddaughters, and “Diane” by her friends, passed away September 14, 2022 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.

Diane was born September 19, 1967 in Maryland, but considered Alamo Lane in Dunedin, Florida, “home” before moving to Tallahassee in 1990. Diane is survived by her two loving daughters, Casey Rushing (Bill) and Camille Prater (Devonta Myers); two granddaughters, Ava Rushing and Braeleigh Rushing as well as her parents, Virginia Corlett and CR Collins, one sister Debra Colvin and Aunt "Bobbie" Barbara Caldwell (Jim).

Diane worked for over twenty years in student housing management, forming many friendships that lasted until the day she passed.  Her passions in life were her daughters, grandchildren, friends, the beach, diet coke and the Seminoles.

A Celebration of Diane's life will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Faith Funeral Home in Havana, Florida 6972 Florida / Georgia Highway Havana, Florida 32333 (850.539.4300)
